2020-2021 Winter Training & Snowball - General Information
The BGSA is investigating options to hold out Winter Ball 2021 program. Due to Covid related use restrictions, we have been unable to secure an appropriate venue. Please continue to check back here for more information.
The Winter Training program is available to all Bellingham Girls Softball players grades PreK-12. Introduction to Snowball is a good program for our littlest softball players to see if they are interested in playing softball in the Spring. Intermediate Snowball is for players who are new to softball and are trying to figure out if they would like to sign up for the Spring Season. This program is also good for those players who want to dust off the cobwebs before the start of the Spring Season. Advanced Winter Training is for those softball players who have a few years experience under their belt and want to get ready for the Spring Season or High School tryouts. The program has 3 levels:
-
Introduction to Softball for girls grades PreK, K and 1st grade.
This level will provide the players instruction on the fundamentals of softball in a fun setting.
- Intermediate Snowball for girls in grades 2-4.
This level builds upon the Introduction section and provides next level structured drills.
Goals
- To provide new players instruction on the fundamentals of softball.
- To provide instruction on the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, and fielding.
- To provide players with the drills designed help players improve their skill level.
- To provide players an opportunity to actually improve their skills by applying this instruction in a fast paced, fun, practice environment that focuses on repetition.
